July favourites!

This months loves

Hello everyone!
July for me has been filled with memorable moments. I was able to spend a week away in Rhodes, a beautiful Greek island as well as being lucky enough to spend a few days away in London with my auntie. This post will show you a few of my favourite skin care, hair care and makeup musts that i have been completely head over heels in love with this month.
This month i have been loving natural 'light' makeup, these are a few of my favourites!
This month i have been loving more natural 'light' makeup aka makeup i don't need to worry about! Although i do like to spend a little extra time in the morning on my makeup this month i have been enjoying spending a little less time and having a minium fresh look. Leaving my skin  looking healthy and summer ready! During the summer i really love the fresh look because it means i don't have to worry about the warm weather ruining my makeup.

this months skin care favourites

This month i have been introducing some extra skin care to help supple and keep my skin looking clear for the summer.I recently purchased The Body Shop seaweed clarifying toner due to my local store running out of my tea tree toner. I must say when i purchased this product i wasn't expecting high hopes however i was pleasantly surprised to find that my skin felt cleaner and fresher than ever and it really help to minimise breakouts as well as pores. I have also been loving my NIVEA soft to moisturise and soften my skin. This is a life saviour after spending a little to long in the sun!
I have been loving my Chanel foundation this month! Check out my older blog posts for more information on why i love this foundation!

Sleek- face form contouring and blush palette light 373
This month i have been loving adding just a touch of blusher or bronzer on the areas of my face that would catch the natural sunlight.I find it gives a lovely look to the skin and gives definition to the face.

Benefit- they're real mascara
I can not say more positive words for this mascara. It provides me with length and a build able volume.  My favourite thing about this mascara is the brush its self. At the end of the brush there is a tool that enables you to get those had to get eyelashes and bottom lashes.
Mac- speed dial (cream sheen)

This colour has to be my favourite summer colour. It applies a lovely creamy moistening pink pigment to the lips with a very slight gold simmer in it which instantly gives your whole face a glow!
Naked Palette 2

This summer i have been loving my Urban Decay - naked palette, for a more natural everyday look to night time. As there is a assortment of different colours and tones from light browns and champions to deeper more darker tones!

Collection 2000 - colour pout lasting stain
I have been loving this stain over a simple Niva lip balm to give a slight tint to my lips but still give me a moistening feel  from my lip balm.

This photo was taken in Lindos which was certainly one of my favourite spots we visited! It was very 'Mama Mia'

This was one of my favourite places we visited, it was at the very end of the island and is where the two seas meet together.

D.I.Y- Jar of inspiration

D.I.Y: Jar Of Inspiration (using old candle containers)

Hello everyone!

Recently I have been hearing a lot about 'D.I.Y Jars of happiness' which are designed so that threw out the year you place any memento's or inspiration messages that you have collected on days out. The jar is then emptied at the end of the year and you are able to look back of the previous year and see all of the things you have done throughout it! When I heard about these jars a thought immediately sprung to my mind, after watching 'juciystar07' youtube video about what she was going to give to her sister Elle for christmas I decided to create my own jar. The jar of inspiration.

This jar is designed to be filled with inspiration quotes and messages in which you can read in the morning and hopefully follow throughout the day. Often I am stuck for inspiration which makes everyday feel the same. However using this jar with hopefully enable me to see the positives everyday instead of sometimes just focussing on the negatives. This blog post will show you the step by step instructions on how to create your own jar of inspiration.

what you will need:

* a jar of your choice ( I designed to use an old candle container)
* paper of your choice
* a black pen
* glue

other equipment you may want to use:
* paint
*ribbon
* glue gun- or strong hold glue
*glitter

how to make it!

1)  Find a container of your choice to use as the 'jar' which you will be filling with inspirational messages and quotes. I chose to use a old candle container I had that still had some of the candle wax inside. To remove this I placed the candle into my freezer draw without its lid. I then left the candle there for around 20 minutes before removing the wax with a butter knife. By freezing the wax it made the removal easier.

2) To remove the sticker that was on the front of the jar I bathed the jar in a bowel of boiling water to lift the glue making the remove easier.

3) I then removed the sticker by peeling it of the glass container. Then usings a scrubbing cloth I removed any unwanted wax that was still left over from the previous step.Using the paper I then wrote out multiple quotes and inspirational messages, which I cut out and folded  placing it into my jar.

4) Now to decorate the jar and make it a little more personalised I added a label made from black sharpie and plain white card, using my glue I attached the label to the jar. I then added some small paper flowers that I purchases at the range. I also painted the lid with some pale purple acrylic paint as well as adding a bow using patterned ribbon

I hope you enjoyed this D.I.Y blog post, I really enjoyed making it! I think this would be a perfect choice if you are looking for a gift idea with more or a personal touch and something that is well within a budget!

Have a lovely day, Bethany x

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua

Hello everyone!

Over the past three years I have been in desperate search of a foundation that would provide me with enough coverage to hide any unwanted 'friends' (spots!), as well as redness and my uneven complexion. I honestly think I must have over thirteen different foundations taking over my makeup drawer that have unfortunately failed to meet my satisfaction!. However after scrolling through multiple you tube videos I've found my new holy grail foundation!

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua (spf 15)

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua fondation retail in the UK at £31.00 (Boots retail price) and comes in a nine shade range, ranging from cool to richer tones. The 'second-skin' foundation is watery in texture causing a ultra light weight effect, it really does feel like you are applying a new fresh layer that gives you a almost perfected coverage! When I first began to apply the foundation I must admit that I wasn't exactly 'ecstatic' as I thought it wouldn't supply me with any coverage what so ever! However I was surprisingly surprised to find that my uneven complexion,redness and spots where practically covered! My skin truly looked incredible! With a light touch of concealer the slight ting of redness cause by the spots were completely concealed and it looked like I had just woken up to a fresh skin. The main reason why I fell completely head over heals in love with this foundation is its convenience. I am able to through this foundation into my bag knowing that there will be know breaking of glass bottles causing there to be a foundation attack in my bag! due to the product being in a plastic container that still gives the satisfaction of a high end, luxury feel.  As well as the fact that I could still see my skin through the foundation its self giving a more natural appeal.

Overall as you can probably tell I am in love with this foundation and hopefully this product with become a staple in my makeup bag for many more years to come! If you have anymore queries or questions to ask about this foundation or any other products you would like a review on please let me know!

I hope you have a lovely day, Bethany x
